Bittersweet........

So I find that Christmas is bittersweet. We got to hear our Grand kids excitement over the phone and  hear everything that they got. It is really nice to hear their voices, but hard not seeing them. Then we got to talk to Chrys. It was good to hear his laugh and his stories. Then when you say goodbye, you realize you won't talk to him till May. That is a hard goodbye. So now we are back to emails. There just isn't enough time for all your family sometimes. I always wish there is more!! It's hard going from a house full of kids to having just one opening up presents. I seriously don't feel that old!! I really did have a great Christmas it was just different in some ways. Kids stop growing up so fast!!    :]

FAMILY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(yesterday) I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man was it good to hear all your voices! It was a fun phone call. I'm so glad it was great Christmas for all of you! It really is such a great time of year. I do know an Elder Martin!! He was in my first zone and i just saw him at the Christmas Devotional! Ha ha that is awesome. He is a great elder!!

So this week was great! It was pretty busy. With Christmas and everything we were running around everywhere. On sunday we started out at church, then to the Hess' for lunch, then to the Bains to call, then to a white elephant gift party at the Benson's, then to the Weavers, then to the Ridge's, THEN to Carson Loder's. Ha ha. It was great. Oh, Speaking of Carson, this is for her:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Ha.

Anyway, it was an AWESOME Christmas!

As i told you all on the phone, i did do some caroling as tracting. We went to a dinner appointment and they weren't home, we knew we were there for a reason and needed to do something. SO we went tracting with our ukulele! We knocked on doors and if they didn't answer we started singing with our just excellent angel-like voices. It didn't work haa but it was a lot of fun. We did find 4 people to come back and teach though! One of which is that Windy lady i told you all about. I love how the Lord but us in the right places at the right time. He does His work His way, we just have to listen to the promptings so we can accomplish the things He asks.

Last week i messed up my right shoulder and it was hurting so bad i couldn't use my arm! Which made a lot of things pretty difficult to do. I was pretty worried i would have to go see someone about it, but on Sunday during sacrament i prayed that it would heal so i could actually do things and serve. By the end of the meeting i had full use of my arm! I love when things like that happen.

This week is going to be so great. We have a lot going on in preparing for the upcoming year! We as a zone are doing a "standard week" next week. We are all going to put in the extra effort to hit the standard of excellence, meaning 20+ lessons, 100% morning schedule, and 3+ new investigators. We are PUMPED! I know we can do it. I will let you all know how it goes!

Well, i best be off. Sorry it's a short letter, i don't know what else to say really since i just talked to you all on Sunday ha ha. But that's alright. I love you all so much! Thank you everyone for the love and support you give me! You are all such great blessings in my life. Thank you for everything!!! Have a great week!! Talk to you in 2012!!!!!!!!!

Christmas time is magical......

So I sit here on this beautiful December 24th and think what a wonderful Christmas season this has been. It has gone by too fast. I always need an extra week. I am so sorry to the people on my Christmas card list because my cards are still on my counter. They will be late this year. But that just means the spirit will keep going. I love to visit the Temple, but to go at Christmas time is magical. It's so cold, but so beautiful. I am grateful my birthday falls at this time of year. I wouldn't have it any other way. I wish for you all a very wonderful and loving Merry Christmas......Here is our family Christmas letter for you all....robinsonsfabulousyear.blogspot.com

Dear Family,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love you both!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry it's taken this long to email!! It's been a busy few days. Sounds like a great week for all of you though! Dane is engaged?? Whah? Ha ha that's crazy talk. That is so cool about your friend though!! You should have her give you the names of those in the area. If any of them are members then i'll bet i know them!

This past week was a good hard week. We as a zone do this thing where when we get a new investigator or some kind of miracle we call it in as a miracle. We send the zone leaders either a text or a voicemail and then they send it to the rest of the zone. This past weekend we had a ton of members wanting us to do service which is ok when it doesn't effect the work, but they were all "ox in the mire" things and pretty much were voluntold that we had to do them. I love doing service! But all we wanted to do was go FIND! Ha ha. Every hour in the day we were getting a ton on texts and voice mails and such about all the new investigators everyone was getting and all it made us want to do is go find someone to baptize! It was rough! It was inspiring though! It made me realize how much i really do love missionary work. And how bad i really do want to bring this gospel to others! So this week we committed to find 6 new people. We are so going to do it too. It's a lot! But i know they are out there.

We have 2 more on date! They're 11 and 12. They are hilarious. And SO spiritual. Their mom was baptized about 2-3 years ago in another area and comes to church when she can. We went over and taught the 3rd lesson and focused a lot on baptism which went so well. We invited them to be baptized and they said they really wanted to! The mom really wants it for them as well. Our timing on it all was pretty awesome though, they are like always all over the place and never have a set schedule so it's hard to catch them, but at like 8 at night we found ourselves wondering what to do, then they came to mind! So we decided to go see if we could get in, and sure enough they were there! So great. Man am i grateful to not be alone in this work. I love the Lord!

Elder Riggs and i had a chocolate fight while making BuckEyes. It was a very delicious battle. But we both lost ha ha. Those poor white shirts.......yay Oxi Clean!

Transfers were last week. Ha ha i forgot to tell you guys. The First Presidency is changing up transfers and now missionaries will be in areas for up to a year instead of 4 and a half months. So i'll be here in Xenia for a while ha ha. Of course depending on what the Lord wants. But Elder Riggs and i are here until at least February!

Ok.......I am pretty darn excited for sunday. Ha ha. I get to call! Woo! No skyping here in this mission. But we should be calling anytime around 2:30-3:30 our time. Hopefully you won't be at church or anything. If you don't answer then i'll have a chance to call later that night at another house. It's not a for sure because we don't know exactly where we'll be but it should be around there. Be ready for that Ohio number to pop up on someones phone!!! :)

Oh and full SD cards are on the way :)

Thank you everyone for the letters and packages!!! They brighten my day. I have a big letter from my ward hanging on my wall right now :) I love it!!

I've gotta say, i love life. I love being a missionary. I love sharing happiness. I LOVE the Book of Mormon. It is so powerful and is such a huge blessing!! I love the words of a living prophet. I love knowing that if i rely on him my life can and will be blessed. I love knowing that families are FOREVER. I am so grateful for the spirit and how it testifies to me that all of what my parents taught me is true. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for what he has done for me, for my family, for the people i love and teach, for all of mankind. What a blessed life i have. Oh and i also love counting my blessings. If you can't tell. :)

I love love love every one of you! You are all a part of the many things i am grateful for! Thank you for all of your love and support.

Merry Christmas!

No......I'm not ready......but that's ok.......

So I'm not ready for everything Christmas brings. But that's ok. I will be by the time it comes somehow. I have faith in me. I'm not too stressed yet. I might be next week, but that's next week. I like how Chrys says he lives everyday like it's Christmas. That would be an awesome thing to do. It would make for a happier world I think. But for me, I would just like to have Christ in my life every day. That's what makes me happy. So here is one of my Christmas wishes for all of you, that you may have Christ's love in your lives everyday. It's a great time of year so lets keep it going!!

Dear Family,

Glad to hear it was another great week! I love the stake choir stuff. I loved going to that every year. I'm glad everyone enjoyed it. Christmas ROCKS!

This past week was awesome. It was really inspiring! We had a zone meeting last week where President decided to visit all 9 zones in the mission and lay down the law basically. President is probably the most inspirational man i know. Seriously. He is so much like Elder Holland. I love it. Ha ha. I really enjoy all the chastising he does in the mission ha ha he makes you feel so pumped when he does!! There was a big "grey area" list in the mission where missionaries, even the zone leaders, weren't sure what the rules were regarding them. So he went around and destroyed it! Ha ha. So During weekly planning the next day we tore apart our apartment and rid it of all the things we are no longer allowed. And that same day we found our 4th investigator for the week and the rest of the zone found another 8! Ha ha. It was AWESOME! Last week was one of the best weeks I've had. I love the power that comes from obedience, and the vision and the fire for the work you receive from it as well.

The Christmas Devotional was so good!! President is really good friends with Sean Bradley, the NBA player. He had him come speak to us. He is 7'6" !!!!!! Ha ha he was SO huge! He is LDS! He and his wife served a mission and everything. He was also in Space Jam ha ha he's the tall white guy that gets his ability taken away from him. I actually wanted to rub this in Elder Johnson's face ha ha be like BAM! Maybe in my next letter to him ha ha. It was so amazing though. It was really inspiring. The spirit in that building was so strong! President got up a couple of times and bore his testimony on the Savior. I hope some day you be able to hear President bare his testimony. Oh my gosh. What an amazing man. And yeah i'm not afraid to admit i cried! Ha ha because when President cries you cry! Man. I love being on a mission. Something one of the assistants said was, " I was planning on having Christmas being a huge "pump up" type of thing. To feel real good right before the turning of a new year. Now that is is here, i feel just the same. I thought about it and i realized, people usually focus on Christ only during this time of year, like i used to, but now that i'm a missionary i'm focusing on him all the time, so i am always feeling his spirit with me! I am always feeling the spirit of (Christ)mas. SO it's not just a once a year thing, it's all the year!" Yeah, that's what being a missionary is like, it's Christmas every day! And that's how it should be for every one of us.

Ok well, sorry for the short letter, but it's been crazy busy lately. Didn't even get a p-day! But it is aallllll worth it. With sacrifices comes blessing from heaven!

I love you all! Thank you for all your love and support!!

Merry Christmas! .....i love saying that ha ha.

It's All About Light.............

Have I told anyone lately that I love Christmas lights? Well just drive by my house and you will see that I do. The older I get the more I seem to add. For my birthday I gift myself a trip to Temple Square, the most beautiful place at Christmas time. I just love to see them everywhere. In Chrys' letter he talks about how Sis. Bells baptism was like a light being turned on inside. It's all about the light.........   :]

Dear Family,

Yay (Christ)mas!! Ha ha. I love the house when it's all Christmas'd up. I'm so glad to hear James is growing up! Ha ha that's awesome that he wants to play the violin now. And what a goal to have! To be first chair! Do it James! Ahhh kneaderrssss i miss it. I knew there was something missing this Christmas ha ha. Then again we do have Graeters. Yummmmm. And Panera bread. Oh man soooo good. Wow that was a quick package! Ha ha! Awesome! Excited to get it! I don't know why they wanted it so early. But oh well. I don't mind. Heh.

Hello mark Spongberg!

We had a BAPTISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha ha Linda Bell was baptized on Saturday and confirmed on Sunday! It was so cool! I loved it. It's so cool to be a part of others conversions. To see the light turn on inside. To see their faith grow! There's just nothing else like it. It was a very spiritual service! We wanted the ward members and her fellow shippers to do the actual baptism and confirming, so we were able to just witness it. It was awesome! What a difference it has made in her already! The only thing i can really use to describe it is Joseph Smith's baptism experience. In Joseph Smith History 1:73-74 it talks about after they were baptized and had received the Holy Ghost, their minds were " now enlightened, we began to have the scriptures laid open to our understandings, and the true meaning and intention of the more mysterious passages revealed unto us in a manner which we never could attain to previously." That is exactly the experience of Linda! We taught her The Gospel of Jesus Christ as a new member lesson and she was saying things we had never taught! Ha ha it was awesome!! I am so grateful for the Holy Ghost. Man, what a gift!!

We pulled many pranks on the Beavercreek elders this past week. Ha ha ha. So funny.

On saturday night we went over to the Weavers with a ton of post-it notes with a plan to write "Go to church! Love the missionaries" on them. We ended up putting almost 200 all over Aaron Weavers room and car ha ha ha. That was too awesome. ........but they didn't come to church. Ha ha. Dang it. We'll get them this week.

Well, that's about it. Ohio is flooded. Ha ha. It's been raining forever. I will talk to you all next week! I love CHRISTMAS!! "to catch the real meaning of the spirit of Christmas, we need only drop the last syllable and it becomes the spirit of Christ." - Thomas S. Monson. Woo! So true! Focus on Christ and i promise it will be the best Christmas ever!!

I love you all!!

I Love To See The Temple........

This week we had the great opportunity to go to Chet's youngest sisters wedding in California. At the same time Chet and his brother were being sealed to his Dad and step Mom the night before. What a great feeling it is to sit in the Temple with your family and think of all your children and grand children and how much they mean to you. I watched my husband with his family and thought of my kids and the tears of love just flowed. I couldn't stop them. But that's ok, who wants to in precious times likes these. Then the next day we sat in another Temple to see his Sister get married. When she walked into the room and saw her family sitting together she started to cry. It was so sweet. To also have our sweet Grandpa do all the sealings for us made it extra special. There's knowing your loved and feeling your loved. We had both this past weekend. Then to get on and hear that through your prayers of hoping your kids can feel your love on these special days, one is singing "I Love to see the Temple..." is priceless. I do love when family time turns awesome and you don't want it to end.....

Dear Family,

Sound like an absolutely perfect week! Oh man that seriously makes me so happy. We're all stuck together!! Woo! Let's have a big party. When i get back. Ha ha. Wanna hear something funny? I woke up on friday singing, "I love to see the temple" ha ha. I just made the connection of why i was. I seriously could not get it out! I even sang it as i raked leaves at a member's house that night! Oh man. That's cool. Yay temples!!!

Alright so i don't have too much time this week so i gotta be fast.

We are having a baptism this week!!!!!!!!!! Wooooo! Linda Bell is being baptized on Saturday. We are all so excited!! We even cleaned the baptismal font for her ha ha. It is going to be a great day! And the people that referred her to us are coming up from Kentucky to see :) She is excited. The ward is excited. It's just an exciting time!!!

Thanksgiving ROCKED! SOOOOOO much foooooooooood! We had 2 dinners and 3 deserts. But that is just on that day. We had in total 4 thanksgiving dinners. We have a bunch of pie and turkey in our fridge right now ha ha. Oh man. I'm still full from all of it. We had one on wednesday with like 50 non-members at a member's house. Actually the house that Alexis is living in. That was craaaazy. Ha ha. And not necessarily in a very good way. We had to stay upstairs for most of it ha ha. Which turned out to be good! We taught Alexis' mom and now she's going to come to church! Woo! We had thanksgiving with our bishop mainly. It was awesome. Then on this last Sunday he and our ward mission leader invited us to the ward correlation meeting (which i've attended maybe 3 times my whole mission) and it was awesome! One thing that i love doing is building up a ward. We've really been trying to do that. We proposed a bunch of ideas to get the ward more missionary minded and to get them more motivated to reach out to others. The bishop accepted all of them! Ha ha. We're really changing things here in Xenia. The past 2 years they have had 3 baptisms, and now in this next month we are matching that! Ha ha! And we have another 3 potentials to be baptized. We are SO excited. I love this ward.

Met a guy outside of the library that went to jail for scalping someone....and talked to the missionaries while he was in jail. Ha ha. Wow that was fun. Really though it was ha ha. I love silly people.

Had no car for most of the week. Holy moly that was rough!! We did a ton of walking and still got a lot done! Went out knockin on doors for most of it. Conrad let us borrow his Ukulele and we took it everywhere. I'm getting a lot better! Ha ha. Good enough to tract with it! Woo! I'm also teaching Elder Riggs how to play it ha ha. It's so fun!

Found out that i'm not so good at Foosball.....thanks to the bishop....

I'm pretty good at throwing knives...found that out by....throwing knives. Ha ha. Took a cool video for that one

Well.......i think that is about it. I love you all! Thank you for the package!! It's all up on the walls and everything! And the candy is slowly making it's way into my belly! The church is true and the book is blue! Ha ha. Missionary work is the GREATEST thing ever!!!! I looooove it. Seeing this gospel change lives is such an incredible blessing. Have a great week! I love you!

Beware of the Spray.........

So Chrys' letter this week made me laugh. When our kids were growing up they would not wake up so what did we do? We would get the spray bottle and spray them with water! It worked every time! So to read that Chrys did this to some less active members to get them going was great!! But this morning James was in a mood! He ran into my bathroom and ran out with the spray bottle. He turned it on stream and got me right in the face. All I can say is......James beware of the Spray........ :]

Dear family,

Oh my poor old lucky. Ha ha she makes me laugh.

That is way cool about Brittany though! How exciting for the family! It sounds like it was a pretty eventful week for everyone. Especially at church ha ha ;) the accident story made me laugh. I can't believe Stephen Thomas is leaving already. It doesn't at all seem like he is that old ha ha that went by so fast. AND Zack Morris home already? Dang. I think i forget how long I've been out and how different the world is now ha ha.

This past week was pretty awesome. We have a lot of great things happening. Our 40 day fast is moving a long so well! The members are so supportive. The greatest thing about it though is seeing the miracles that are coming out of this. The biggest one is Alex. He is doing SO much better. I don't remember if i told you guys about his whole situation with his sickness but he had to get a foot of intestines taken out and after got a huge infection. That's really the only thing stopping him from getting baptized. That and a new whole just opened up in his stomach. Which is not a good thing but is most definitely not the worst. His infection is gone! He is healing. Which is a first since the surgery. He says his mood is even changing day by day. He said it was because he knew and could feel ours and the member's prayers and fasts for him. We had a chapel tour yesterday with him (which is a big step considering his condition) and as we were sitting talking in the actual chapel he said he didn't know what it was but he just felt at home in there. The spirit was so strong. I am so thankful for the spirit. What a major role it has in our conversion.. I count it as a special blessing to see it work in his life.

Then there's Aaron and Jennifer. They are so awesome. Elder Riggs and i were able to spend this last weekend helping them re-do their roof. Holy cow that was rough! Ha ha but SO fun! I am still pretty beat up from it ha ha. I got a nail in my butt. Yep. It hurt. Glad it wasn't rusty. Ha ha. Anywaaaayyy their situation is hard. Aaron is a member. Jennifer and her kids are not. Aaron and Jennifer are not married and are now living together and all but one child wants to be baptized. The children can. But Jennifer can't until she either moves out or marries Aaron. Aaron from what he told us doesn't want to marry her. Ha ha. Jennifer on the other hand has dreams about Aaron proposing to her ha ha. She really wants it. So in this 40 day fast we have been asking the members to fast for them to get married. And this whole weekend Aaron kept saying how much he loves her and how he's probably just going to have to marry her. Ha ha how awesome is that?! Yeah. There is power in fasting. We're going by tonight to talk to them about it more.

On Sunday morning we went over to the Weavers before church....want to know why?? To spray them till they get up and ready for church! Ha ha. It worked. They're a less active family that we meet with often. They are the coolest! Alexis Driscoll lives with them. She should be on the list of people who has added me on facebook.... Anyway next week we are going over and cooking breakfast to get them up ha ha.

We went out to Jamestown on i think....friday? I don't remember ha ha but anyway it's a part of our area that is really far away and eats up our miles like crazy so we don't go there often. But as we were out there we were knockin on doors in the SNOW! What?! Ha ha i mean normally this would be late for me being from Utah but it's still a shock ha ha. It's finally starting to feel like winter. And it sucks. Ha ha! We didn't know where to go so when we parked the car we decided to tract by flipping a coin to go right or left ha ha. We prayed that we would be guided to someone and through the spirit through that penny we were! We came in contact with a former investigator named Mike that wants to meet with us again and we are going back this week. Oh man. The mission is so funny ha ha.

Anyway i best be off. So looking forward to this next week. Oh man. I just have to much fun being a missionary ha ha. I LOVE IT! I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ! It's seriously the greatest thing in the world to help others see that. Full-time missionary or not. I love my Savior. I love the Book of Mormon. It is AMAZING! Annnddd...... I love you all so much!!! Have a great week! Be safe! I'm praying for you!

P.S. I did get Chelsie's Package! Yum Snickers!!!! I am in the process of writing them back.

The Mama misses her Cubs..........

So this week I am just going to say it........my kids and grandkids live too far away!!!! I am throwing a fit!!!!! I need to get it out of my system!!! Maybe I won't have so many teary moments when I see the sappy commercials about all the holiday family cheer haha. Well that helped a little, but not enough. New Mexico, Arkansas and Ohio are just to far away!!! But I do know one thing, they are all happy. They are all loved. That makes the Mama happy!! But I still want my Cubs!!! :]

Dear family!

I am glad to hear you all made it through the week! Ha ha. Indeed i am. Mom and dad, you guys are so weird ha ha. And i thought you couldn't get any weirder....ha ha. I love it. That music festival sounds awesome! Way to go Zack!! That is so cool! I wish i could have seen it! I really love hearing about all the church experiences you guys have. Church is awesome right?! YA! Yes yes i did get my package!! Thank you!!! Very surprised! Ha ha i was was like yay a boxx then i was like YAY MY BOX! Ha ha. I opened it and i smelled salsa...i was like no way. Ha ha. Thank you!!! Oh and funny thing, whenever i run out of Nutella you guys send me some like the next week ha ha it's so funny. I was like sweet! Elder Riggs was pretty happy about that too ha ha. Thank you for the pens too! They are really nice! Oh man. What a happy day that was.

This past week has been an awesome one. We had interviews with President Nilsen and the first thing he told me was, "you know, you have a sleight resemblance to...."and then just started laughing because i already knew what he was going to say. Ha ha. And then i laughed. And then he laughed even more. Ok, so i think for some reason i look even more like Jim Carrey as a missionary than at home because i get it at least 5 times a day ha ha. Including from the stake president here. Goodness. He thought that was pretty funny ha ha. I also got these past few weeks that i look like the Ken doll, you know, Ken and Barbie? Ya. And that i look like a model. Ha ha. I don't mind those so much. And then apparently i look like some weather man on the channel 7 news here in Ohio. Rich. But then again i've also heard i'm a better looking version of him. Ha ha why can't i just look like Elder Robinson!?!

The 40 day fast is doing so well! We have a family fasting for us every day! We're already seeing miracles. It's just too cool. And fast sunday was all directed towards missionary work. Wowww it was so cool. I am LOVING this!

Speaking of sunday.....it was daylight savings! And guess what we did? Or should i say didn't do?? We failed to change the time in our car. So when it said it was time to go to dinner at the Stake President's house, we showed up an hour early! Ha ha how great it that? It all worked out though. We all had a good laugh.

We were able to go see one of the many MANY Indian Mounds in Ohio over in Enon. Wow. For a big grassy hill, it was really cool. It was the one that Joseph Smith and Zion's Camp stayed by. Joseph talked about it and said that it was from a major battle and a lot of bloodshed happened there. There was definitely a different feeling there i will tell you that. It was pretty cool though, the little cabin that Joseph most likely stayed in was still there. Oh man, i love Ohio.

Linda, one of our investigators that found us actually is on date for baptism! We're so excited for her. She is SO solid and loves the gospel. We have a goal for Dec. 3rd. We think it might happen earlier but we'll see.

I have experienced some cool things with the Priesthood lately. We've been giving a lot of blessings to others and it has been so great to see the power of the priesthood work. First was Alex, who is on date for baptism for the 31st of Dec. He is an awesome guy! He's the one with that cool story of meeting that ghost messenger guy on the plane. He has been super sick the past few years and nothing has gone right with his surgery. He had a really bad infection in his stomach that made it so he couldn't really do anything, so we offered him a blessing and he accepted. So this last saturday i was able to speak with his wife over the phone to see how he is doing and she said he is back to normal now. He is healing up fast and the infection is gone. WOW! Cool!! Then on monday night we went over to a less actives house because she and her daughter had asked for a blessing. Her daughter, Sam, was getting pretty sick and she couldn't breathe very well. Sam requested that i would give the blessing, she said that before the blessing was even over she felt better! She said she could feel her breathing improving which was way cool. Then Elder Riggs gave the mom a blessing and there was such a difference in her by the end of that one too! She was bawling through the whole blessing. The spirit was so strong. Gosh. I love being on a mission and doing the Lord's work.

I have really pondered this past week on Christ and what he means to me. I've been really focusing my studies on him and the atonement. I highly recommend it!! I really feel Him so much more throughout the day. I am trying to focus on Him and what He would have me do. I feel the Holy Ghost so much more. I feel strengthened and enlightened! I'm just....SO HAPPY! Ha ha. I love my Savior. I really really do. I love this work. I love this gospel. What peace and happiness it brings! Thank you for everything you do for me my wonderful family! I love you all so much!! MISSIONARY WORK ROCKS!!!!!

Letting Chrys do the talking this week............ :]

I really couldn't decide what I wanted to blog about so that is why I haven't. So this week I am going to let Chrys do the talking........ :]

Deeeeeaaar FAMILY,

I don't why i typed that in caps.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Ok first......James.....you are a girl. Ha ha ha i love that kid. He's growing up! That's funny he's trying on all my jackets and what not. He makes me laugh. Oh how i miss my disco jacket. I am so wearing that when i get back. Ha ha. What video is he in? YM/YW video? Is it like that one i was in? Only better? Ha ha. Except for of course the batman rap thing ha ha where i was on drums for the whole thing. Boo yah! I love hearing how the ward is doing. That is so awesome. I am glad everyone is well! Sis. Dougherty.....is...awesome! Thank her for me. Her and her husband are the best. Love the prayer list idea.

Alrighty welllll. This week was indeed an awesome one! First off. I was able to call Elder Pierce in Pickerington and talk with him for a little while earlier this week. I asked him how he was and he said "sore." I was like "from the car hitting you?" and he said "how did you know?" .......yeah i was just making a joke and it turns out he was actually hit by a car. Ha ha. I laughed pretty hard. A truck stopped for his companion and not for him ha ha hit him pretty hard and completely messed up his bike and he has some cuts and scrapes but is mostly just bruised all over. Crazy huh! I also was able to call Brother Sharples over there, my old ward mission leader. Gosh i love that man! Ha ha it's amazing the friendships you make out here. He's one that i am definitely coming back to visit.

We had the opportunity to attend an AWESOME fireside this last Saturday. Oh my gosh. It was a family that was in the Joplin, Missouri tornado. The one that had over 300 mph winds and went across 22 miles. The tornado went directly over their house while it was at it's strongest point. They had an incredible story though. The husband, Brother Wright had been having dreams about tornadoes and how he had to protect his wife and kids from it. Every 3 weeks he was having these for months up until the tornado hit. While the tornado was on top of them and they being in their parent's basement, he said he remembered the dreams and how he had to protect and stand over his family. So he had them all sit in the corner and he stood over them while knives and such were flying all around. He looked around in about the middle point and he saw his little daughter sleeping in his wife's arms. He said he felt calm and knew Heavenly Father had sent angels to watch over them. The whole fireside was so amazing. There wasn't a dry eye in the audience! Yes, including mine. The whole thing was centered around families and how much our Father loves us. It really brought out the love in me :) i was sitting there and was like, man, i will do anything for my family. I love you all so much. If there is one thing i have taken from my mission, it is my love and appreciation for my parents and my family. Amazing.

Yesterday was a pretty cool day! We had a very full schedule at church. That's how it always is though and i LOVE it! I love running around meeting and working with all these wonderful people. We were asked to do sharing time in primary for the senior and junior kids and boy that was fun! Participating in primary is probably one of my most favorite things to do in the whole world. Kids are too fun. Plus they baked a ton of goodies for us ha ha it was awesome. We were able to teach them more about prayer. Then right after that we were asked to talk in the 5th sunday lesson and present the ward this new thing we will be doing. We are starting a 40 day fast for missionary work in the ward. It's pretty simple but amazing. We eat with the members and give a lesson on fasting and missionary work and then the next day the family fasts for missionary work. Some of the other wards are doing it as well and they have at least 4 people on date for baptism in each area. Right now we have 1 on date with 5 we're putting on date within this week. And we haven't even started the fast yet! Ha ha. It was so cool though. We didn't really know what we were going to say and we had about 20 minutes to fill. Right before we went up I received the prompting to read a part of a talk from given by Pres. Hinckley and read from D&C 4 and expound on them and bare testimony. So i did. I felt like i did well. I don't remember too much of what i said. Ha ha. But hey, i still did what was asked. There was about 100 people there and after the Stake President got up on the pulpit and said we have his full support and later came up and said it was very inspiring and that it pumped the members up. Ha ha. Our meal coordinator had families running up to her asking to have the missionaries as soon as possible to be a part of all this. It was such a testimony builder. I loved it!

The ward is is so amazing. I have never seen so many people give so much support to the missionaries. It is so amazing. The work is exploding more and more each week! I am doing my best to be obedient and i am trying to stay in tune to listen for the Holy Ghost. I have some really cool stories about that but i'll have to write a letter or something because i'm out of time :(

I LOOOOOOVE being a missionary. LOOOOOVE LOOOOVE LOVE it! I love this gospel. I know it's true. Everything about it is true. I love you all so much. Thank you for being so wonderful to me. :)

Until next week!! Be safe!

I think I will survive............

Chet and I were driving around taking care of some errands. A song came on that reminded me of Chrys. Yes I got a little teary, but that happens. Then Chet got talking about how nice it is that we have time to ourselves lately since James likes his friends more then us. He was saying things like isn't this fun! We went to a movie together and now we are still doing things without having kids with us, doesn't it feel nice to be together. I was all teary at this point. He goes oh no, do I need to turn this song off. Thinking I really missed Chrys. I said no, I miss James.....hahahaa!!!!!

Dear Family,

Hey!!!!!! Ha ha sounds like a fun week!! One that FLEW by! Holy cow. Ha ha oh James. Skinny jeans? Okie dokie! V-necks though i have to agree with. That is so crazy he is getting so big! Ah! What the heck??

Poor Harris!!! Oh man that sounds so rough! But if it would happen to anyone, it would be him that can handle it ha ha. What a trooper! I love that kiddo. I gotta hear from them soon.

Debbie Bagley....no oils that i saw. Unless i missed it somehow ha ha but yeah i didn't see any.

Wow Megan Goodman, that's a name i haven't heard in a while ha ha. Spain! That is so cool!

I LOVED THE CARD! What a spirit lifter! Thank you!!!!!! The pictures are awesome ha ha I knew Jon couldn't resist my drums :)

You did get to talk to Collin??? Ah man i wasn't able to get a hold of him! I love that guy! You should have him stick his fist in his mouth ha ha he has a monster mouth. He is such an awesome guy though. He's going to be such a solid missionary.

OK, this past week ROCKED! We are seeing a lot miracles here! And you know why?? Because we are expecting them! We pray for it, and then work so we can have one. It's been amazing. On Friday our dinner appointment canceled on us and we had about 3 hours to fill before we were going to take dinner at the apartment. So we decided to pray and ask for a miracle. We sat for maybe 30 seconds and then felt like we should go find someone on a street we had prayed about earlier. We went, and tracted for a good 2 and a half hours. Talked to some nice people but no one that was interested. Even met a drunk French lady that we could barely understand ha ha. Then a recent convert in the ward called us and we talked for a bit and jokingly he told us that we were going to have a miracle at 7:01! So we were like, alright ha ha let's get to work! We had 13 minutes to have that miracle. 7:01 rolls around and we knocked on a house and talked with this lady named Tracy and she ASKED for a Book of Mormon and we are going back to teach her this Friday. How awesome is that?? Ha ha we prayed and had faith that it would happen. And it did! So cool. We sent in this miracle via voice mail to the Zone Leaders who forwarded it to the AP's who forwarded it to the whole mission. Ha ha we've had 2 miracle voice mails go mission wide in 3 weeks. Xeniaisthebomb!!!!!

On Saturday we got a media referral from headquarters in SLC and it was for a lady named Linda that had gone to church with a friend down in Kentucky and enjoyed it. Then that friend went on mormon.org and referred her to us. So we felt like we should go straight to her house as soon as possible but realized it was about a 30 minute drive and we had an appointment with one of our investigators, Alex, in less than an hour and wouldn't be able to make it to both. We still felt like we should go see her! But decided to go to Alex's. When we were about to leave he called and had to reschedule. So we were out the door and off to Linda Bell's! Ha ha. She has now been to church and knows it's true and we are hopefully going to put her on date for baptism this week! She says she has had all sorts of things happen to her this past year that has seemed to her like God has pushed her to us. She is an awesome lady.

I taught a college class!! Ha ha! SO cool! It was at Synclair, ranked i think he said #10 in the best community colleges in the U.S.. It was huge! And it was my first time in downtown Dayton. Mr. Moermon was awesome. He actually is an alumni to Harvard and said that he wants to write a letter of recommendation for us to go there :) he also talked me into going there for religion classes. Yep. I'm going to Harvard ha ha. It was so cool though teaching and baring testimony to about 30 people. We were able to show a couple videos off of mormon.org which went really well. Have you guys been on there? It's awesome! The newest video is of Brandon Flowers, the lead singer of The Killers!! Woo! Yep. He's a member! Anyway, the teacher invited us back to teach again for his winter class. I guess that means we did a good job! Either way it was fun!

GO SEE 17 MIRACLES! It is so good! We had a recent convert come to a member's house and we watched it with them. It's about all the miracles that happened to the pioneers when coming to Utah. Amazing.

Well, i best be off. But i am so looking forward to this week. It is going to ROCK! This area is exploding with missionary work! We have like 10 member referrals we have to visit this week ha ha. What a wonderful thing to be doing right now. I love being a missionary. I've never been happier. I wouldn't rather be doing anything else. I know this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I know he lives and loves every one of us. I love him. I love the Book of Mormon. What a powerful tool in our conversion! What a powerful tool in life! I am grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and the unending blessings it provides. I am grateful for a living prophet! I am grateful for eternal families. I am grateful for the examples you all are to me! Thank you for all the love and support you give me! I love you all! Have a great week!

The Conversation Goes Something Like This...........

I have taken the conversation that I had with my Elder and made it smaller. It was a little longer, but decided to take out some of the personal things. It was really a great talk between us!! It has been hard not having the fb connection. We were spoiled!!! So here we go-
Chrys-bahhhh. Ha ha. Have you gotten my letter yet? P.S. this is weird that you're on the same time I am haha. Funny.
Me-I am loving this......just like texting hahaha <3
Chrys-hahahaa that's funny. Elder Riggs laughs haha.
Me-Tell Elder Riggs to have his family let you be friends on fb so I can tag him in some pictures!! I loved the pictures last time!! Meet a missionary hahaha
Chrys-Yeah ha ha ha meet a missionary. Gotta love the good ol baptist church. Saw that and was like, oh yeah haha. Couldn't pass that up. Oh I will tell Elder Riggs.
Me-Used your spacesuit on the blog....we laughed at your tag on the suit. Are you being trunky talking to me like this?? haha
Chrys-I was a space missionary! Yay! I have been hereby called to serve in the mission, the Moon. haha
Me-Watch out Moon people!! Elder Robinson is on his way....not only saving people in Ohio, but reaching far beyond!!!
Chrys-hahaHA trunky haha not really I'm just laughing a lot haha. this is awesome.
Me-We got your letter Saturday!!! We loved it!!! <3<3<3
Chrys-Oh Cool!!! I am glad. I was like I'm gonna send a letter haha. Alright we are going to go now I will email you guys later. Catch you on the flippy flop.
Then we passed some mushy goodbyes and the Mom and Son were happy campers!!!! It made my day!! I love that Heavenly Father knew I needed to talk to Chrys. 2 years is a really long time with only 4 phone calls.....well ok 6 phone calls because he did call from the airport twice!!

Deaarrr flamily,

I've got like 10 minutes. ha ha. So i'll reply to that email next week ya? I'm really glad to hear all is well at home though :) I didn't know Emily's grandma passed! My gosh! That's so sad. BUT i'm glad we know our Heavenly Fathers plan for us. I'm glad you guys are there for her. She's a wonderful girl and she deserves a lot of love from everyone! You be sure that she knows we love her.

I will get that letter for Ryan for you next week.

Ok, so like i said, i've got like 10 minutes ha ha so i have to be really quick. It's been SO crazy busy lately! The work is on fire! Ha ha yesterday we had 2 appointments during our prep-day and we didn't have enough time to come back to finish the email. But that's ok. We got a new investigator out of it! Amy Tutt. AWESOME lady with an awesome family. We carved pumpkins with her ha ha it was awesome. And we went back today and mowed her lawn and she made us lunch. She's so cool. We'll be teaching her every Monday.

This past week i have felt the spirit SO much. I have literally felt Him guiding us. We are following every impression we receive from Him and every time we do we have success. The other day we got the impression to go visit a referral from a member, but the problem was she was 18 miles out of our way and we are pretty limited on miles right now. Plus it was at a time that the members said she wouldn't be home. So we decided to pray about it and the same answer came, "GO". So we decided to go. We showed up to her house and she came to the door! We were able to talk to her about the church and families and everything and she was pretty interested! We're going back on thursday. Amazing. I love that. There's even been times while out tracting where i would hear an audible voice tell me to stop at a certain house. And when we listened, the person was receptive. From our finding efforts we have 9 return appointments for this week alone. AND we have a bunch of member referrals. One of which is a chapel tour tomorrow. My gosh. This week is going to be a busy one.

AND last night we got 2 more people on date for baptism. Ha ha! AMAZING!

TOMORROW, we are teaching a..........COLLEGE CLASS! Ha! Yeah!! It's gonna be so sweet!! It's going to be about 30+ people and i'm going with my district leader because we're on exchanges right now until tomorrow night. We're both pretty nervous, but i know that this is happening for a reason. And why be afraid? The Lord will be with us. We will be teaching on just about everything but mainly on the restoration and our basic beliefs. The teacher's name is Mr. Moermon. Pronounced Mormon ha ha and he's not a member. How funny is that? You can call me Elder Professor Robinson.

I LOOOOVE this area. This ward is so missionary minded. We get referrals just about every dinner appointment. I love it here. I love being on a mission!!!!!!! It is the best most enriching experience ever. My love for the Savior has grown so much. I love Him. I love Him. I love Him. I love this gospel. I love the Book of Mormon. I love our Heavenly Father. I am so grateful to be serving here in Ohio. It is the greatest place to be serving a mission!! I wouldn't rather be anywhere else.

I love all of you. Thank you so much for the support and love you have given me. I don't know where i would be with out you! Oh and thank you Bagley's for the package!! :) :) Just got it before i came here! Love it!!

I LOVE YOUUUUU!!!!

Silly Faces and Silly Words.........

This week I am grateful for Skype, texting and Facebook. They keep me in touch with all my family far away. Who knew my Grandsons had such dance moves!! My Granddaughter saying she wants to scream and sing with me at Disneyland again. Then sharing Elder Robinson with everyone over the net. I am grateful to meet new people who were in Elder Robinson's ward just a few weeks ago. I learned that he is still a goof-ball. He had Nerf gun wars on Mondays because no one was at the church. He was on the dream team! He did the cinnamon challenge with this young Elder, but filmed it instead of doing it. He did it in my kitchen when he was 16 with his friend. So I guess once was good enough for him. I learned that he took over when his companion was trunky and made sure things got done, but still had a lot of fun. That this young Elder is looking forward to being his friend for life. I love missionary homecomings when they use words like jerk, stud, suck, poop, crap and turn it to-Christ like service. How do I love my neighbor. It's not about me. If you gave me a plane ticket I would go back right now. I am truly grateful for what life is giving me and the people who share it with me!!! :]

Dear family,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA CHERYL!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

Sounds like a great week you all had! First off, Mom, i laugh at you jumping at the fake bat. Ha ha! And of course dad and the "spider". So funny! I love it. Speaking of Lucky, i pet a dog that had the face of lucky, i fell in love with it ha ha i pet it for a good while. Ah the Moline family!! I miss them. I need to send a letter out to them. How are they doing? I can't remember if i mentioned this or not but that family in my last area, the Warenski's, the ones that know the Moline's, we're related to them ha ha! Not even kidding. We did a family history thing and they are related to the goodwin's as well. My 4th cousins! Great family. Tell Bonnie i say hi! And sorry i couldn't say bye to her. And to also give the new missionary a hard time ;) ha ha just kidding. Bryce and Kurt are back already?? Crazy! That's awesome though!! Rough for Bryce, 13 months in one area?? That is rough. Elder Rawlings would have been in the area right next to mine if i would have stayed ha ha crazy huh.

ELDER BROWNING!! Yeuhh! Ha ha i only got to talk to him for a second the other day, but that is so cool he is going to visit!! I'm going to send you an awesome picture of him ha ha. Say good bye and good luck for me. Also, if you could, get his mission home address? That is something i failed to do. And after him Collin should be coming! I'll have to get his number and talk to him about it if you haven't already.

Alright, to start off, we have someone on date! Alex Mansfeild. His story is AWESOME! It starts a year ago, he was on a plane coming from Chicago to Dayton and a stranger came and sat next to him and started talking to him and knew Alex's name and all these really detailed stuff about him. He had never met this guy before in his life! He was kind of freaked out. But then they stranger told him that his life was going to change in 1 month. So Alex was like ok whatever crazy guy. They talked more about all sorts of things until the flight ended and then he gave Alex a business card. After the flight him and his wife followed the stranger outside and as soon as he went out, the stranger disappeared. SO after he was home he went to where the address was for the business here in Dayton and it was all boarded up. So then he went across the street to some other stores to ask about it and they said that there had a been a big fire a year ago and that the man he was describing had died in the fire and that this wasn't the first time that someone had come looking for him. Crazy i know! Right after that the missionaries came in contact with him and started teaching him. He was progressing and doing really well but then he got really sick and had to be admitted into the hospital, exactly a month after he had met the stranger. He got so sick he wasn't able to be taught. So now, about a year later, he prayed for Heavenly Father to send another set of missionaries to come and if they did come, that he would join the Mormon church. And here we are!! Ha ha. Elder Riggs and his last companion came in contact with him a few weeks ago and we were able to teach him just this past week and committed him to be baptized. He LOVES the gospel and already has a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon. We are SO excited for him!! He says that this man was sent to him as a messenger of God and this whole experience has made him a believer and that this is what his Father in Heaven wants for him. It was definitely a miracle. We actually sent this story in a voice mail to the Assistants to the President and they sent the voice mail to the missionaries mission wide ha ha. Pretty cool i thought. :)

My eyes hurt from staring at this screen ha ha. Let's see, we are working with the ward a lot right now in getting everyone more motivated to do missionary work. It's working well! We met in a P.E.C. meeting with the bishop and ward mission leader and others and spent a good hour talking about missionary work and what we can do. I was able to take some of the things we used in Pickerington and suggest them and they loved it! We're also going to be doing a 40 day fast for missionary work which will pretty cool. Other areas are doing it and that have at least 4 people on date. There is SO much potential in Xenia it is crazy!! The work can really explode here if we do the things the Lord wants us to. It's so cool being here. The members are awesome. The investigators are awesome. It's just an amazing place.

I can't really think of anything else that has happened. Ha ha. We went to Wright Patt Air Force Base!! It was AWESOME!! Took a bunch of pictures. It was HUUUUGE! You guys should look it up and look at some of the pictures. It's amazing.

The fall leaves are starting to show!! It's beautiful!!! I'll be taking a lot of pictures in the upcoming weeks.

You should be getting a letter in the mail soon :)

I love you all. My testimony of this gospel has grown so much. The more i learn and experience, the more it grows. I love my Savior. I love the Book of Mormon. I love sharing my testimony with others. I know that this is all TRUE! I am grateful for all of you and how wonderful you are. You have been such a big blessing in my life. Thank you for raising me in this church and for the testimonies you have. I love you! Be excellent to each other!!

Conference and Salsa go hand in hand..........

How I love the smell of Salsa!!!! I come home and my hair smells like Salsa!!!! Then I have to take a shower and the smell is gone. It is so yummy again this year. If I am careful it will last the year. Then there is the silliness that comes along with it. We get so tired and the boys are so weird. The dogs are running around looking for food. It's what it's all about!! Then we get together on Sunday for the Salsa to be delivered and have a meal. We watch Conference and this time it ended up in a nerf gun war, card throwing and hand shocking game. Chet, James and I made 3 different yummy treats. It was a great time spent with friends. Chrys is in Ohio and CJ is back from Bulgaria is the only change. We had CJ bless the food in Bulgarian. It was beautiful!! This is always one of my funnest weekends of the year!! I always look forward to it!! We feasted on wonderful words and we feasted on wonderful food!! What a great way to start October!!! :]

Dear Family,

Heyooo!! Sounds like another grrreat week! Is there ever a bad one though? Nahhh. Oh man i got to conference on Saturday and all i could think taste and smell was salsa. Ha ha save a jar for me! Yum. How is it this year? Weird that Cj can speak Bulgarian. Ha ha. I guess it makes sense since he was there for 2 years huh...i don't use my brain often. That's so crazy all those missionaries are coming home!! That was so fast! What the heck! Ha ha. Dalton Slangrup ask to be friends?! Sweet!! Yes he is a priest in Pickerington, a very awesome kid! How cool.

Well, yes, i am now in Xenia! This place is AWESOME! It has more different churches then i've seen my whole life. I thought Pick-Town had a lot, nuh uh! This place has a different church every 5 ft! It's crazy! But cool. It was hard leaving Pick-Town, it was like leaving home again! I am going to miss all the wonderful people i met and taught. Ah man and we had a couple baptisms this week! Ha ha. My companion is Elder Riggs, a very solid missionary. He came out the transfer after me, which means i am senior companion. The assistant announced it and i was like, whhaa? Ha ha. He also lived about 5 minutes away from our old old house in Orem ha ha and he went to Mt. View. Funny huh? I'm pretty sure i saw him too before we came out. Xenia really is so awesome though. The Dayton East Stake is the biggest in Ohio. Our ward has 300+ members in it, ACTIVE members. I don't know how many less actives we have, but i'm sure it'll put it over 400. Pickerington had almost 150 active members and about 50 less actives. Big difference! It is an amazing ward though. I am so excited to be serving here. I've already got a billion ideas for this area :) Stoked! Plus.....it's a car area!!!!! Yeauhhh! Get thee hence bike!

Oh, Elder Rawlings is awesome!!!

Anywayyyy, conference ROCKED! Holy moly i seriously took over 30 pages of notes. No joke! It was amazing! I have a ton of favorites, but the one Carl B Cook of the seventy gave was one of my most favorites. It's better to look up! I love it! I loved what he said about releasing our burdens. "Look up and step up and we will then cheer up because God wants us to be happy." I also love, "We can never repay Christ, but we can love the Lord." Brilliant. Oh oh!! And the best 2 years FOR my life! I think i might have to add a little to that, FOR and OF my life. It has been so incredible i can't even put into words. There is nothing i would rather be doing! This is the best 2 years everyone is talking about! Oh and in priesthood session......dad.....did you see Caleb Chapman in the choir?!? Ha ha! The choir was from PG and i totally saw him in there. So funny! I grabbed my companion and was like, I know him!! Ha ha. So random and awesome.

A quote from a member at dinner last night, " some people need a high five..to the face..with a chair." i about died laughing ha ha.

Ok so, i am sending the package today with pictures. It has a lot of random junk in it ha ha but i hope you will like it. I am also working on getting another present for you guys that i think you will love! It is awesommmme to say the least.

We went to hippie central of Ohio this morning. Very interesting. I'm sure it didn't help that we were walking all on the streets playing the uke either, ha ha. It brought up some good conversations.

Well my flamily, ha, i love you! I am loving it here. I am getting happier and happier by the hour! Ha ha and when i think i am happiest, i get happier! Ok maybe that is an exaggeration, but still, i'm happy! This church is TRUE! I love my Savior with all of my heart. I am so grateful for serving here in the great Ohio Columbus Mission. It's the best! I love you!!!!!!!!

P.S. I played a drum set yesterday ;) i still got it he he.

Planning.............

Well this past weekend we found ourselves at bridal shops. Yes, we were looking at wedding dresses. We felt like we needed to help Ashlee and Nate get a move along with the plans. The dress Ashlee had on hold they sold, so we were off. The last shop we stopped at we found the perfect dress!! I wish her family could have been there to see the look on her face!! Then it was searching on the computer, making a list and sending it off with Ashlee. We didn't have a date till Nate came in last night and said how does January 14th sound. So now let the phone calls begin! This weekend also bring Conference and with that comes...........SALSA!!!!! The smell of tomato's is so yummy!! The awesome uplifting words!! The great company of the Spencer's!!! Yes, I am so looking forward to this weekend!! I hope your weekend is just as awesome!! :]

Dear family,
There's a spider crawling on my computer screen.
That is all for this week.
Have a good one!
-Elder Robinson

I waited to see if he was going to write a longer letter........stinker!!! :]

Dear family,
Like that last message?? Ha ha! Stinking spider.
My brother is getting married!!!! Wow! That's amazing!!! Congrats on setting a date!
So it sounds like you all had a pretty crazy week!! Good! I'm glad all of you are staying busy! I'm lovin the new bishopric!! Brother Bagley yeauhhhh! Ha ha sorry i just had to say that. He's the bomb diggity. Him and his family. I love them. Isn't sacrament amazing? It's my favorite part of the week. And i am so stoked for conference!!! WOO! It also makes for a sweet door approach ha ha. Do you believe God could call another prophet? Well i can tell you today that He has. And then invite them to conference. Boo yah! We have a bunch of people coming this weekend we're pretty excited! Sad i won't be able to taste some salsa this October. But it's all good ha ha. You make sure the Spencer's know that i love them ya?
Well, another great week!
Francis is doing awesome. We gave him the Doctrine and Covenants. He loves it! He is excited for this conference too! He can only make it to the priesthood session, but it'll still be great!!
Esther and Dorthy are great! They are still on date but we have to push the baptism a week back with all that is going on this weekend and all that we still have to teach her. But the whole ward is excited and have already welcomed her in! We're so excited for them!
Yes, transfers are this week!! Crazy how fast this is going!! I am excited to meet Elder Rawlings! I will definitely be looking out for him. We have no clue what is going to happen with this next transfer. Of course, you never do ha ha but you can still kind of predict it. I've been here 6 months which is a pretty long time for a missionary to be in an area, let alone their first area! Elder Pierce could even leave. Or we could both stay ha ha. We won't know until tomorrow night. I kind of hope i don't leave yet, i love the people here. Our investigators are awesome. Our less actives are awesome. I love the ward. We have baptisms coming up. It would just be kinda sad. But it's the Lord's work and His will. I will do what he wants me to do.
Well it is time to go. I won't be able to send the package just yet with everything going on. It will be FOR SURE next monday. I have recently been taking a ton of pictures that i hope you will love ha ha they make me laugh.
I love you all so much. I know church is true. I know with all my heart that the Book of Mormon is true. I am so grateful for the knoledge i have of this!! Have a great week!! Be good! Read the BOM!
-Elder Robinson
P.S. watch the Glen Beck conversion story! It rocks!!

James and his silliness..........................

So this past week I have been doing my best to spend time with James who wants to spend time with his friends more. So we took a day to do homework. He put on his songs and played them a little loud. "Mom do you know this one? Do you know this one?" It was the question of the day. We danced a little and laughed a little. Then he told me a lot of silly stories about his friends and yes, girls. Did you know that he hates when girls spray silly cologne? He turned his head one day and got it right in the eyes because a girl had it backwards. Yup, he hates it! He won't eat lunch if he doesn't have anyone to sit with so he will buy bacon/cheese potato chips. Sigh. He can talk like a run on sentence forever, but when we get in public he shuts up and doesn't say a word. What is up with that?? He asks me if he is driving me crazy, if I say yes, he says good because he likes to mess with peoples minds. I like that one!! Last night he looked at us with a straight face and said "Mom, I told my friends you had Chet Michael when you were 13. They lost all respect for you. Then I told them the real story and they like you again." We laughed so hard!! I told him I was 12 1/2 just to be clear though. So Chet and I cuddled and tortured him last night and it was great!! He is not going to let it happen to much longer. Yes, James is pure silliness and I am grateful for it!!

Dear family,

Sounds like a great week for all of you! Except dad ha ha. Poor baby.....:) Tell James he's the funniest kid i know. Wow. Ha ha. Bonnie Stern, YES!! Ha ha she is someone we were able to reactivate and get to church again. She is awesome!!! We call her Mama Bonnie ha ha. She is the best. Jon Browning is a goof, ha ha. He's so awesome. He's excited to meet all of you! Collin Janke too, he'll be out like 1 or 2 weeks after him and he wants to meet up with all of you too. He's going to Australia! I'll have him add you too on there. That's so crazy with the amount of missionaries coming in and out of our ward! That is amazing! As for the Navarro's....i love them! Ha ha they are so nice to write me. The CD is awesome! They are on my list of people to write back.

Ok so this week has been awesome! I got sick Friday night, which stunk! With the big weather change here like everyone is getting sick. Half the elders in my district is sick ha ha. I'm starting to feel a little better.

Francis is amazing. Ha ha. Nuff said. No really though, we met with him on Wednesday and he was telling us all about his experience in jail. He wasn't able to take a Book of Mormon with him when he went in but when he got there he checked the library and there was a copy! So he picked it up and read it every day! He was even made fun of for reading it, but he still did it! He said it brought so much comfort. He shared with us his favorite chapter which is one of the best ones ever, Alma 36. I was blown away with how much he was able to expound on the scriptures! It was amazing! He is doing well. And is excited to meet with us tomorrow and is excited for conference!

We have another person on date! Esther's daughter, Dorthy, so they will both be baptized on the same day! Both on the 1st, between sessions of conference! How awesome is that?? They are so amazing, they are way in tune with the spirit! And really eager to learn! We just taught the Plan of Salvation to them and Dorthy kept saying, wow! Holy cow! Wow! Ha ha she was loving Heavenly Father's plan. It was awesome! We're very excited for them.

I love being out here. I wouldn't rather be doing anything else. Everyone should serve a mission! It's incredible! Anyone who chooses not to, i think, is making one of the biggest mistakes of their lives!! It's fun, it's hard, it's rewarding, it's unlike anything i've experienced and i've never been happier. I love this work.

One thing that stood out to me this week that was brought up in Elder's quorum yesterday is a quote by an apostle when he saw the afterlife in a vision. Matt's talk that you talked about reminded me of it. It says he saw in the spirit world and in the kingdoms family units, happy and working together, but then he saw others who were alone and wanted to be with their family but couldn't. Simply because they did not fulfill their callings in the earth life. To go along with Matt's talk, finisher's wanted, Christ finished his calling on earth, and did a lot more than we could ever do. And yet, a lot of us don't fulfill our callings. Christ said to follow him, he is our example, and in order to do that we need to fulfill our callings and be finisher's! So in return we can be with our families forever. I hope that all makes sense ha ha i'm doped up on medicine right now.

Well i love you all so much! Thank you for the card!!! i love getting those!! They are such spirit lifters. Thanks for the cash too! It helps a lot!! Have a wonderful week!!

Remembering............

As I was reading about what everyone else was doing 10 years ago, I thought about what I was doing. Chet turned on the TV and we just sat there in shock. We got the kids to school. Chet went to work. Then the day was filled with sadness. James was only 3 and didn't understand why his afternoon shows weren't on, so I kept him busy doing other things. A few weeks later I was helping Chrys' 5th grade class and was talking to a girl. She had lost her Uncle on one of the flights. She told me all about him. How she missed his laugh. She just wished he would come home. That was when it came really close to my heart. So many families where changed that day. It was had to watch anything about it yesterday. The emotions are still there. I am so grateful to live in America!! I am so grateful to have a beautiful family!! I am so grateful to have the freedom to choose my religion and the everyday things I want to do!! I am so grateful for those who have fought and still fight for our freedom!! Now just to let you know about the howdy cowboy.......I was running out of titles for Chrys' letters so I was getting creative. I mean, I have 2 years of letters. I still have a little over 18 months to go............. :]

Deeeaaarrr familllyyy, !
Howdy cowboy? Ha ha! Well boy howdy i reckon that be a grrreat title! Ha ha i love it. I have like 10 min today ha ha so i have to be quick...Lovin the updates on Utah though! Sounds like things are going well, except for people getting sick! I hope they get better!
We have a baptism!!! Esther is going to be baptized on the 1st next month....yes...Conference weekend! Ha ha it's going to be conference then baptism then conference ha ha how awesome is that?? She is awesome. She said in the first lesson that the spirit told her that this is the one and only true church! She is so in tune with the spirit is is just too cool. I am glad i can be a part of this!
Francis, sadly, cannot be baptized yet. We don't know when but he can't be baptized because he's on parole. Which is for the next 5 years. BUT we are hoping and praying that after his community service is done that we can get special permission from President and the First Presidency to get him baptized before then! Eek!
We had a monsterous Nerf war last week! It was AWESOME! Ha ha we even had a less-active come! Which is way good! We dominated!! Pick-Town rules!
Yesterday while i was sitting in sacremenet i was reading the B.O.M. and had an overwhelming feeling of the spirit. A feeling of gratitude for having a prophet and having this wonderful book in my life. I just put my head down and prayed and thanked my Heavenly Father for these things! The Book of Mormon speaks to me DAILY. I love love love it!
I just want to make this clear......I LOVE OHIO!! Ha ha. I am where the priesthood was restored to this earth!! Ah! And the people here are so awesome. We were meeting with and investigator last night and i realized how much i really love these people and how much i love Ohio. It's Zion! According to my ward mission leader...ha ha. But so is Utah! He disagrees ha ha.
Ok 2 minutes! Ha ha i love you all SOOOO much! Thank you for everything my oh so wonderful family! The church is true! The Book is blue! Stay wonderful and have a great week!

The End of Summer............

I can't believe summer is over. It was busy!! Which is a good thing!! It was also relaxing at times because James has decided he likes to live at other peoples houses. He also discovered his Dad's bike. Am I sad summer is over? Yes and no. I will miss the warm weather and nice nights sitting outside. But I love the change in the seasons. The fall colors are so beautiful! I will be fine for a few weeks though if they want to stay away. Today is also Lucky's birthday. I sat by her mother's side for 2 hours and watched her come into this world. I was the first to hold her. She is the sweetest dog!! Well here is to another great end of the summer!! I hope your summer was wonderful and the next season holds many treasures for you!!

Dear family,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCKY!!!!!!!!!! Oh my girl! That is so awesome i forgot it was today! Glad to hear my puppy is still my puppy!
Ha ha i'm glad James is listening to me! And he better believe i will beat him up if he does! Ha ha i love him. And he's taking German?? That's awesome! Way to go kiddo! Harris my main man caught the biggest fish! Isn't that like the 2nd or 3rd time he's done that on family fishing trips? Ha ha he is so awesome.
Francis is home! Yes! We cleaned up his yard with a few of the young men and it was awesome! He came home and the first thing he did was call us! How cool is that?? He thanked us and set up a time we could meet up with him. We went over Sunday night and saw him with a member of ours which went way well. Same old Francis! Ha ha he's amazing. I made sure he knew how happy we were that he was home. Should be at church this Sunday!
We had a former investigator contact a member of ours and then the member called us over to meet with her and the first thing she said was, "I want to be baptized." .......Wow! Ha ha can you say, golden investigator?? She's so awesome though. Her name is Esther and she is from Ghanna. We're going over the lessons with her on Thursday.
On Friday, some elders from the area next to us came over and blitzed our area with us. Meaning we got double the work done. It was awesome!! We went finding for a good 6+ hours on what happened to be one of the most hottest and humid days i have ever experienced in my life, but it gave a lot of chances to talk with people while they gave us water. Ha ha. It was awesome. Met some really nice people and was able to bare my testimony to them! I love missionary work!
Thank you so much for the card! I love getting those!!! They totally make my week. This last one was awesome! To see all those familiar faces! So cool. I will for sure be looking out for Elder Rawlings when he comes out this next transfer. He's going in the MTC tomorrow isn't he? Woo! Ahh the MTC. What a cool experience.
Jon Browning will be in the MTC next month i think the 12th or 13th, i'm not sure i'll have to ask. We go out on splits with him a few nights a week and he said he wants to visit you guys and go out to lunch or something when he goes out there a few days early. Cool huh! I assured him that you all would love that! He's an awesome guy, he will be an amazing missionary! He's one of my friends on facebook i think if you want to message him about it. Oh and Collin Janke will be going out early too when he goes in next month and he said he would like to do the same. I will keep you informed!
I will be writting grandma soon, but thank her for all she has done for me! She's amazing! I love her! The Gatorade is awesome! I have a full gallon mixed up in the fridge right now ha ha and thank her for her letters! Especially this one i just got today with the article out of Mormon Times! SO cool!!
Well my family, I am doing well. Missionary work is the BEST! I wouldn't want to to be doing anything else. I am a forever missionary! I always want to do this ha ha. I love serving others. I love studying the scriptures. I love baring my testimony to friends and strangers. I love feeling and seeing the power of prayer. I love my Heavenly Father!
Have a grrrreaaat week!! I love you all so much! The church true!

Service and Dating..........

So this week Chet and I realized that we were spending more time together. We have always had kids around us. Dates were few and we had to find the time just to have adult conversation. We really didn't want to be empty nester's. But we like having time for us again. We know we will be OK without kids in the house. We can spend time together and not be bored. A new chapter for Chet and Wendy. Kind of weird because I don't feel like I should be here yet!! Service......a great word! Chrys as you can see is excited for his friend Francis to get out of jail and come home. So he has the youth helping them fix his yard up. Awesome!! Sometime service is as simple as baking a cake or making someones bed. Sometimes it's bigger like sitting by a bed side or taking kids for a day. There is no service too small. For Chrys........his Mission is his service. What a great example. There are many who show what true service is around me. I was able to clean the cannery side by side with Chet. Was it hard.....yes......but it was so worth it!! Service is one of the hardest things to do, but it is so worth it!!!!

Dear Family,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA NUNLEY!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!
Lauren is engaged now? Wow! Congrats!! James is growing up, man! That is crazy. Talking to girls too?? Oh that is just not right ha ha. I am glad you and dad get time together! Ha ha it's like dating again thats awesome. And i also understand Nathan's and James' take on it all ha ha gross. Elder Rawlings! Ok i will be looking out for him! He is going to love Ohio. It's so awesome here. It's a very Christian state. It's nice!
I don't have a whole lot of time so i will speed through this. :)
Francis will be home friday! So excited! Since he has left his yard has really gotten out of control, so on sunday i went to the young men's leader and set up a service project for them to do! We're all meeting tonight and we're going to whip it into shape for him! Oh man, i have really missed that man. The ward is really looking forward to being involved with him!
Zone Conference was this past week. It ROCKED! President is the best. He pumps us up so much! Ha ha. I just wanted to get out and baptise after that! Ha ha.
Yes we went to the temple last thursday and i have to say, incredible! I LOVE the temple. I'm so grateful Brother Coulter was able to take us. It was exactly what we needed!
I cut my thumb up pretty good! With an X-ACTO knife. It's pretty deep, deep enough for stitches but it's too close to my nail. Man did that bleed a lot ha ha i got video of it too! Woo! It's funny. But then not ha ha. Those band-aids you sent me with are pretty good friends of mine at the moment.
We taught an investigator on sunday! But this is no normal investigator, she's been investigating for over a year and a half and even has a calling in our ward! It was so good though! Completely led by the spirit. She finally opened up to us and expressed her feelings and we know her concers now. We and the ward have been praying for her and to be able to find these things out. We're also fasting for her and everything. It was so awesome!
Let me just say, thank goodness for the Oxy Clean you guys sent me. Chocolate on a white shirt is evil ha ha.
Oh and we helped out a less active yesterday and he lets his cats go to the bathroom wherever they want, and oh my gosh. His ceiling collapsed in his basement and there was water everywhere mixed with all the urine in the carpet, so awful ha ha. We couldn't even breath! I love the awesome things that you experience out here ha ha. We had to throw all of our clothes in the wash afterwards.
Well i have to go now, but i love you all so much! Things are going well! We're working though the obstacles! The work is progressing.
The church is true! How great is my calling to bring this truth to others!! I love it!!
Have a great week my wonderful family.
