Happy New Year! Our neighbor did fireworks and we watched from our deck. It was soooo COLD!!!! We hope yours was warmer!!!

We wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year! May 2009 bring many blessings to you! As it was said in "Kung Fu Panda" ( what a good movie) - Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, today is a gift, that is why it is called a present.

Happy Birthday James!

James wanted an oreo cake. Now he says he is double digits because o in 10 is not really a number, but 1 is. So there you have it 11 is a real double digit number.
We had his friend Wyatt come over and stay the whole day! They didn't even go outside.

He got his new basketball ( He is starting basketball in a week). Yeah!

What can I say we live in BYU country. He has been asking for a blanket for a long time!

Happy Birthday to our James! We have so enjoyed having these last 11 years with you! It has gone so fast, but it has been so full love and fun!

Tis the Season to give...

Welcome to our Mess! We wanted to share a little of our Christmas with you. I told them to stop picking up, it looked a lot messier. I am all into the mess!
Lucky needs a haircut and a quiet place to sleep. She waits till it's her turn for her treats!

Nate gets to get rid of his old jacket! We are all happy about that one. Now he can be in style where ever he goes!

Chrys got a present made by James that tells us what we already know. Chrys is Cool! James had fun with the Popsicle sticks this year!

James is ready to play with his new shirt(from his friend Wyatt) and a new football. If only there wasn't so much snow!

We hope that your day was filled with love, fun, laughter and family. We miss you all!

I wanted to write about what a perfect day yesterday was. I heard angels sing... had love from my little ones in nursery... had 43 kisses from James as my gift... back breaking hugs from Chrys... love, smiles and silliness from Nate... birthday calls from Harris, Livvy, Chet Michael, Jaime, Chelsie, Tyler, Caleb, Jackson, Chuck, Lori...dinner at my Mom and Dad's... Bubble bath for my big tub... two cakes... but the best was Temple Square. Just the thought of how much I am loved by my family and the Savior was awesome. Chet looked at me and said I looked so pretty. I told him I was happy. It is so simple, Love. That is what it is all about. God gave us a gift of love when he gave us his Son. His Son loves us unconditionally. To be a part of this makes everything perfect. Yesterday was Perfect.

Laurie's Gift...

I don't know if i will have time to write these next few days so I am doing it now. My birthday is in a few days and I was feeling very thankful for my friend Laurie. I met Laurie in April 1990, she lived across the street from us. She took me in right away. She was always there when I needed her. Nate, Chrys and James considered her their second Mom. She loved my family as her own. She stood up for all my children when I wasn't there. She was our rock. I remember when she first got cancer. She didn't want to tell me because it would ruin my weekend. So she waited till Monday. She was always worried about how everyone else was. We would talk about how hard it was for her. We celebrated when she went into remission. That only lasted a short time. She again didn't want to ruin my Christmas and wasn't going to tell me till after that her cancer had come back. I called her and we cried on Christmas eve together. Then we made a plan. We took care of each other. My last birthday was perfect. Our ward had helped with a sub for santa for them. It was the hilight of Christmas. Then on my birthday we went to see "A Christmas Carol" and after to sizzler after to eat. We laughed, hugged and just enjoyed each others families. They left and we went to Temple Square ( my birthday present). I was so happy and sad, it was the perfect birthday. I lost my Laurie on July 26th. We went to see her in the hospital the day before just to send our love. Saying goodbye was an eternal blessing. We held hands, looked and each other through our tears and she said " I love ya Boo". I told her I loved her back. We just held each other then smiled the most loving smile. Her eyes were so blue and full of love for everyone in the room. She was able to donate them so they would have the gift of sight. I am forever grateful for all my Laurie moments. They are in my heart. So this Christmas I look back in love and miss my dear friend. I am putting the beautiful clouds that were in the sky the morning after she left us and the sunset after we said goodbye at her funerel. I know she left them for all of us to say everything is ok. Thank you Laurie for showing me what true friendship and love are supposed to be. I will hold you in my heart till we see each other again.

My Christmas List...

So here is our Christmas List to go with Chet Michael's. Chet's Santa and Reindeer. Our leg lamp. My train I painted (I can't find my yellow train car though). My calendar my Mom made me ( I grew up with one also). Chrys and James have their stockings. Chet Michael made me my nesting dolls when he was in the 8th grade. They are Santa, Mrs. Clause, Reindeer, Elf and present. I think he shows great talent. But I really like how Lucky looks when we don't shovel some grass space for her. Sorry Lucky. I will get better at this as I go. So if it looks a little unorganized, it is. I am just grateful to see all that my family is doing. It helps when they are far away to see what they do day to day. May this beautiful snowy day bring you lots of love and laughs.

Well here we go. Chet thought this was a great idea. I don't even know what to write. The boys are being loud and beating up Chet. I am staying out of the way. We are looking forward to letting you all know what is going on in our crazy life. Like the lecture I am giving them for hurting Dad. The bigger the boys get the rougher they play. I also like how Chet laughs as I do this. What do I know I'm just the Mommy. Well I am now going to see if I can get a picture on here. Laters.
